Q: Pottery School f.) I am new to ceramics. What class should I take?

A:

You should definitely register for a beginning level class. Many experts suggest taking a handbuilding class first but this is entirely up to you. If you have a strong interest in learning how to throw on the potter's wheel you should register for a beginning level wheel throwing class. If you are interested in learning how to make sculpture you should consider registering for a handbuilding class.

All our beginning level classes include a complete orientation to working with clay. You will learn all the fundamentals in both beginning level handbuilding and wheel throwing classes.

We offer 6-week and 12-week class schedules for our beginning level classes making it easier for you to explore your options.
