Q: Pottery School m.) When and what is measuring?

Students who wish to have their work fired must first have it measured and paid for. This is what we refer to as "Measuring".

Measuring happens several times daily most days of the week. For your convenience measuring is scheduled once during each class and Open Studio hours.

Please do not show up for measuring if you are not in class and it is not Open Studio time.

The schedule for approximate measuring start times:
Monday – Thursday: 11:00am, 4:30pm, 8:00pm

The schedule for approximate measuring start times:
Monday: 8:00pm
Tuesday – Friday: 11:00am, 4:30pm, 8:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am, 3:30pm
Sunday: 1:00pm

Measuring start times may vary slightly in order to accommodate excessive work volumes - particularly at the end of the term, special events or other unforeseen circumstances.

Measuring always starts on the third floor EXCEPT for the 4:30pm measuring on Mondays (summer term) and Wednesdays (and Fridays - fall, winter and spring terms) when measuring begins in the ground floor wheel room.

Please keep in mind that there are four classrooms to be measured and measuring times may vary slightly depending on which classroom you are in and how much work needs to be measured. Please have your work ready to be measured before the liaison arrives.
