Q: Pottery School e.) I am new to the Pottery School what do I need to know before my first class?

Greenwich House Pottery is located at 16 Jones Street in the West Village. We are between West 4th and Bleecker Streets just off 6th and 7th Avenue. If traveling by subway you can take the 1 train to the Christopher Street stop or the B, D, F, M, or A, C or E trains to the West 4th Street stop. Morning classes begin at 10am (building opens at 9:30am) and evening classes begin at 6:45pm.

Getting inside
Once you arrive please ring the door bell and someone will buzz you in. (During announcements you will be given the door code so you will no longer need to ring the door bell).
Please stop by the registration office half way down the main hall and the liaison will tell you where your classroom is.

What to bring
If you are registered for a beginning level class and have never worked in clay before you do not need to bring anything! We have basic tool kits available for sale ($24) and your teacher may recommend certain tools you will need on your first day of class.

If you are registered for an intermediate to advanced level class it is assumed that you have previous clay experience. Please bring your tools to your first class.
