Thursday, December 9 2010

Many thanks to our event sponsors.

Thank you to all who came out in support of Greenwich House Arts. We hope you enjoyed the 2010 Greenwich House Arts Benefit.

A special thanks to Jorma Kaukonen, Barry Mitterhoff, Steven Oquendo and the Latin Jazz Orchestra and Robert Verdi, who helped make the evening so memorable. Read more to view photos from the event.

Lights twinkled, aromas of delicious food filled the air, while the sights and sounds of beautiful music ensured all the guests at the 2010 Greenwich House Arts Benefit, enjoyed a truly memorable evening.

The event raised more than $100,000 in support of New York City arts programs, with an agenda that featured an intimate dinner performance from Jorma Kaukonen, with TV personality and style guru Robert Verdi offering up his witticisms as emcee and auctioneer, along with Steven Oquendo and members of the Latin Jazz Orchestra performing during a cocktail reception and silent auction. To kick off the evening, Greenwich House Music School teens welcomed guests by performing Beatle’s tunes in the Schools new first floor studio. Local restaurants, including Braeburn, Corsino, Murray’s Cheese and Recette, provided tasty treats during the reception to round out an evening that—above all—highlighted the results of a community coming together in support of a good cause.

All proceeds from the event support the Greenwich House Arts programs, especially their scholarship and outreach programs for New York City public school children from underserved neighborhoods.

TV Personality, sought-after celebrity stylist Robert Verdi served as the Special Guest and Emcee at the event.
