Driven to Serve? Join Your Local Community Board.

Have you always wanted to serve your community? Manhattan has 12 Community Boards with about half of the 600 available seats up for appointment. If you've always wanted to have a greater impact in your neighborhood, consider becoming a part of your local Board.

All Community Board meetings are open to the public, occuring monthly. Appointments will begin on April 1, 2011. Manhattan Borough President Scott String will provide an informal information session about the responsibilities of Community Board Members on Thursday, January 6th, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, 19th Floor.  Please visit the Manhattan Borough President's Web site to apply.
