Electronic Music Pioneer Morton Subotnick Kicks off NRM Season 26

On Thursday September 15, 2011 at 8:00 pm Morton Subnotnick returns to Greenwich House Music to discuss his early electronic works, and his quest to find a new musical language to fit the technology of the 1960s.

Admission: $15 ($10 for students and seniors)

As the kickoff performance of Season 26 of North River Music, Subotnick will also give a short performance of his seminal work, "Silver Apples of the Moon," and will be available to meet members of the public at a reception following the event. The video below offers a preview of the master at work, from his performance with Lillevan at the Bregenzer Festival, in 2010.
