Greenwich House Music School mourns the loss of dear friend and colleague, Lou Rispoli, whose caring and upbeat nature brought smiles to the faces of most everyone he encountered in his daily work at the School.
We were stunned to learn of this heinous act and are grateful to Council Speaker Quinn, Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer and our neighbors and friends for their ongoing support. We ask that anyone who may have information about this senseless act of violence contact city police department detectives at the New York City TIPS HOTLINE—(800) 577-TIPS—as they continue their pursuit in search of the perpetrators. As our community mourns the loss of a devoted, trusted, hard working and much-loved individual, we honor the family’s wishes for privacy. We extend our condolences to all those who had the pleasure of knowing or meeting Lou and are grateful for the support from our larger Greenwich House family in this difficult time.
