Young Artist Series: Anna Dmytrenko

Anna Dmytrenko was a Prize Winner of the Sixth New York International Piano Competition in June 2012, a biennial event presented under the auspices of The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation. In addition to her cash prize, she appears on the Foundation's Young Artists Series, a program of concerts throughout New York, Connecticut, and Washington D.C.

As a winner of international piano competitions, Ms. Dymtrenko performed at the Kimmel Center of Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot, St James’s Piccadilly, and the Yamaha Salon. She won First Prize at the 2011 Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Scholarship Award Competition, 2008 Viardo International Piano Competition, and 2005 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition. In 2008, she performed a benefit concert in Loudis Hall at the University of Delaware to raise funds for the music program at Newark High School, her alma mater.

Ms.Dymtrenko has participated in master classes with Boris Berman, Alexander Braginsky, Akiko Ebi, Gary Graffman, Karl-Heinz Kammerling, Olga Kern, and Piotr Paleczny.

Born in Ukraine in 1992, Ms. Dymtrenko began her studies at the Mariupol School of Music in Ukraine. Following her relocation to the United States, she furthered her musical education at the Delaware Music School as a pupil of David Brown and Jeanne Pascal. In 2004, Ms. Dymtrenko was admitted to the Juilliard School Pre-College Division as a scholarship student to study with Oxana Yablonskaya. A recipient of the Carr-Gregory Award, she recently completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied with Christopher Elton.
