Program Aide

The Program Aide works 2 days per month and is responsible for providing assistance to the Senior Center Director and Assistant Director and help to support general program activities for Center members. Program aide will also provide back-up assistance at Center on the Square and Our Lady of Pompeii Senior Centers, as needed.

Our ideal candidate

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Computer literacy required
• Knowledge of gerontology preferred
• Good written and oral communication
• First Aid/CPR Certifications or the ability to pass test to acquire this credentials required

Primary Duties

• Assist with data entry
• Assist with filing and organizing
• Assist with serving meals and snacks
• Greet and orient members
• Provide assistance on field trips
• Maintain sanitary conditions in dining area
• Receive and store program supplies
• Respond to emergencies and crises as needed
• Assist with fire safety drills and maintain logs
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
