Greenwich House Pottery hosts ceramic arts programs and special workshops for schools, non-profits, teens and seniors, companies and organizations. Our programs provide a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, friendships and the development of visual, verbal, technical and motor skills for all ages.

We collaborate with the diverse programs of Greenwich House, including the Judith C. White Senior Center and the Barrow Street Nursery School. The Pottery has also hosted special therapeutic workshops for the disabled; sponsored artist visits to public and private schools; and provided assessment and training for educators to develop their own, self-sustainable ceramic art programs.

Tours and DemonstrationsChild on wheel

The Pottery leads tours and demonstrations for groups and schools who want to learn first-hand about the ceramic process. Guests have the chance to speak with the potters and watch them fire the kiln, throw on the wheel and develop their work in the studios. Basic tours are free, more extensive tours are individually priced. Contact the pottery for more information about setting up a tour.
