Weekly Studio Update for May 14, 2018
Spring Term
Week 7

It’s An Ice Cream Social…EXTRAVAGANZA!

We are having a community event on June 3 from 1-4pm. It will be a fun afternoon for people familiar with the Pottery and newcomers alike, full of ice cream, pottery, art, cookbooks and more! In addition to ice cream (provided by Ample Hills) served in bowls hand-made by our staff and faculty (that attendees get to take home at the end of the day) there will be a number of other exciting activities: We will be releasing the second edition of our Potluck Cook Book, which is a collection of recipes often made and shared at the Pottery, and there will be a tasting table to sample many of the recipes. Last but not least, our staff and faculty will be presenting their artwork in a fun, fast-paced presentation style known as a “pechakucha.” All are welcome, tickets are $40, purchase in the liaison office or register online!

Studio Reminders
Clay Dust is a Health Hazard
Please make every effort to minimize clay dust when working in the studio. Do not carve or scrape bone-dry clay. Do not dry-sand in the studio unless you are using the spray booth. Always use a clean wet sponge to clean your work space; never brush or scrape dry clay. Cleaning as you work will to help to reduce dust.

A Clean Studio is a Happy Studio
By working together, we keep the studio in tip-top shape. If everyone wiped down just one communal item besides their work space before they leave open studio
imagine how dust-free we would be.

Workshop cost is $35. Sign up online or in the liaison office.
