In the Gallery
The GHP Artists Exhibition will take place April 12–May 3. All students enrolled in the 2018-19 school year are invited to present one piece. Details are posted on the message center or pick up a copy in the liaison office.

Studio News
Due to the high volume of large pieces in the kiln room, please allow extra time for bisque and glazeware. If you are making large work please be mindful of how much space you are taking up in the studio. It may be time to evaluate how much space you are occupying on the class shelves, the overflow, the bisque shelves and the kiln room. Please remember this is a community studio.

Community Standards
As outlined in the Greenwich House Pottery Student information and guidelines, students are expected to abide by studio rules and to comport themselves in a courteous and polite manner at all times. Please observe community standards in regard to quiet, courtesy, and cleanliness.

  • Keep conversations quiet, and ceramics related. Take phone calls outside of the building.
  • Act with kindness and civility toward your studiomates.
  • Do not touch the work of others, if you accidentally harm someone else’s work leave a note.
  • If you find something that does not belong to you, place it in the Lost & Found in the basement.
  • Always leave the studio cleaner than you found it.
  • If open studio is particularly busy please keep to a 3-hour limit to make space for others.

Dry Cleaning Plastic
GHP provides clean, unused drycleaning bags to wrap up your work, we encourage you to reuse this plastic and store it in your locker as long as it is useable. Once clay accumulates on the plastic and becomes dusty, it is a health hazard. Please do not save plastic by stashing it all over the studio – we have been finding dusty plastic in piles on the studio floors and tucked in crevices each morning.
