Open Studio
Please pay attention to upcoming closures and extra available open studio hours. These are always listed on the message center at the bottom of the stairs.

The Resident is in
We are pleased to announce that the internationally acclaimed contemporary artist, Rirkrit Tiravanija, will be GHP’s artist in residence from September 11 – November 18, 2017. Tiravanija is known for his events and installations that emphasize social engagement, as well as for his material-based work. He will be continuing his work on the wheel, and is especially interested in forms based on the classic ring bottle.

Register NOW
Intermediate/advanced daytime handbuilding classes are filing up much more quickly than ever anticipated for the entire year. Registration opened on August 23rd for all classes for the fall, winter and spring terms. Please register early to secure your seat.

It’s Always Busy in Kiln Room
Please be advised that the kiln room is very busy. It is important to allow enough time for firing. Allow a minimum of two weeks for each firing when calculating firing time for a deadline. Please note that this is only a guideline and that kiln issues and work volume can shorten or lengthen that timeline.

Thank you, from Crafting Resistance:
In the final fundraising sale of this year, Crafting Resistance raised almost $10,000 in just 4 hours at BKLYN Clay on Sunday. This brings total pottery sales to over $37,000 donated to non-profit organizations doing good across the country. Your overwhelming support has made great things possible; thank you to all those who participated whether as maker, organizer or buyer.
