Internship Program
DESCRIPTION:
The Internship Program offers high school, college and graduate students a short-term work experience in the Pottery’s studio or arts administration. Through hands-on experience, interns are exposed to the day-to-day activities of a thriving community arts organization, while given the opportunity to explore their own work in a shared studio environment. Summer Interns assist with a variety of special projects ranging in scope from studio-oriented tasks, including kiln firing and mixing clay, to facility repairs such as painting, to administrative projects. In exchange, interns have access to a shared studio space, all stocked materials, and free firings. Summer Interns work directly with the Studio Manager or administrative staff, depending upon the internship requested.
