Greenwich House Music School
West Village’s oldest and only community music school
Greenwich House Music School is a cornerstone of artistic life in the West Village, offering exceptional music education and performance opportunities since 1905.
Our lessons and classes are designed for every level, from first-time learners to advanced performers. Guided by a faculty of accomplished, caring educators and musicians, students study piano, guitar, violin, voice, drums, and more—building technical skill, artistic discipline, and creative confidence in an inspiring environment.
New Student Pre-Enrollment Form
From toddlers discovering rhythm for the first time to adults returning to their instruments – and professional musicians rehearsing and refining their performances – Greenwich House provides a welcoming place to explore, practice, and create music.
Located in our historic townhouse at 46 Barrow Street in Greenwich Village, GH Music School also supports the broader music community through affordable rehearsal space and performance opportunities. Our intimate Concert Hall hosts an array of concerts, recitals, and community events, giving students and professional artists alike a place to share their work and connect with audiences.
Whether you’re beginning your musical journey, deepening your craft, or preparing for your next performance, Greenwich House Music School is a place to learn, create, and belong.
