North River Music

Since its inception, Greenwich House Music School has been on the forefront of contemporary music, encouraging artists to push the envelope as they create new music. Founded by composer Frank Wigglesworth in 1985, the North River Music concert series has been commitment to presenting excellence in the field of contemporary music over its 26 years.

Building on this tradition, in 2012 the school unveiled a new concert series, unCAGEd, in celebration of the centenary of legend John Cage and his interpretation of contemporary music.
