Suzanne Dirks grew up and still resides in the West Village. She attended Greenwich House Music School for many years and went on to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Arts as a fibers major. Since 2014 Suzanne has brought her passion for material manipulation to art classes at GHMS, including Music, Art and Play.

Suzanne encourages children to explore art-making techniques with a variety of tools and to play with texture, color, size and shape to stimulate their senses and develop a solid foundational vocabulary of art while building critical life skills in decision making, taking risks and establishing self-confidence.
