In Memoriam: Judy Holiday Jones, former Senior Health and Consultation Center Director

It is with sadness that we at Greenwich House share with our community the passing of former Senior Health and Consultation Center Director, Judy Holiday Jones, who passed on July 1, 2020 following a period of long illness, unrelated to Covid-19.  A Greenwich Village resident, Judy began her career as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Greenwich House in 1986, supporting the needs of aging New Yorkers with sensitivity and care. In 1995 Judy expanded her responsibilities as Assistant Clinical Director, where she established, among other innovations, the program’s first 24 hour hotline, which carries on to this day. From 1997 through her retirement in 2017 Judy served as the program director, overseeing the exceptional medical and mental health care of hundreds of older adults annually. Her personal desire to help others was the foundation for the program she built; her work has been recognized in the community and by licensing agencies as a truly unique service helping people age in place with dignity.  Judy will be missed by her colleagues and clients alike at Greenwich House. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Judy’s devoted husband, Guy Spadafore and her extended family.
