As we get ready to kick off our 13th Annual BSNS Auction, we would like to provide everyone with a brief auction primer to inform (or remind) you of why the auction is such an important event for the Barrow Street community and how you can get involved to help.
A silver lining that has emerged in 2020 is the realization that our ability to come together as a community is not limited to being in the same physical space. Thus in support of that idea, our theme is “One Barrow Street” which celebrates the idea that our community is connected no matter where you might find yourself this year.
The auction this year will raise money for:
- Support of Our Teachers
- Scholarships for BSNS Students
- Professional Development
This year’s auction will, like all other things this year, look differently from prior years. At this time, we are not planning to have an in-person event but instead we are going to hold a virtual Holiday Auction in December to allow families to bid on items for the holiday season, as well as another virtual Spring Auction at the end of the school year. These virtual events will look similar to our silent auctions in past years where families will be able to log on to our website and bid on any of the items until the auction ending time.
We look forward to another successful auction!
