This class is designed for all skill levels.

Sewing is an essential skill that is useful in many situations and professions. In this class, students learn how to mend and repair clothing, secure buttons, and foundational skills for creating garments. Sewing by hand engages students’ fine motor skills, coordination, and creativity.

Each class is designed to build confidence and comfort with hand sewing. As students advance they will learn complex embroidery stitches and gain exposure to machine sewing. Students will learn to work with a variety of materials such as beginner stitching canvas, felt, and fabric cloth. Projects include bookmarks, coasters, pencil holders, stuffed toys, bags, dolls, puppets, pillows, and decorative embroidery pieces.
