Greenwich House Pottery at the Whitney

Event Navigation

In connection with the current exhibit, Making Knowing: Craft in art, 1950-2019, Greenwich House Pottery is hosting workshops in a week-long residency at the Whitney Museum of American art.

Adam Welch, Director of Greenwich House Pottery, leads this hands-on workshop where participants will take inspiration from work on view in Making Knowing and learn about different hand-building techniques in order to create their own artworks. All skill levels are welcome.

Adam Welch will also discuss the shared history of the Whitney and the Pottery. Refreshments will be served.

The workshop is $45 for adults, $40 for members of the Whitney, and includes all materials and firing.
