Pottery at the Whitney: Open Studio for Teens

Event Navigation

In connection with the current exhibit, Making Knowing: Craft in art, 1950-2019, Greenwich House Pottery is hosting workshops in a week-long residency at the Whitney Museum of American art.

For this special Open Studio, teens are invited to learn new techniques from ceramics artists and try their hand at creating clay sculptures. They will also have the chance to experiment with the potter’s wheel and have their piece fired in a kiln. All skill levels welcome; no prior experience with ceramics necessary.

Refreshments and art materials will be provided. No RSVP required and the event is free for teens! Upon entering the Museum, pick up a ticket in the lobby.
