Healing Hearts is an annual group program for children ages 6-15 to express themselves through the non-threatening mediums of art and music.
This year due to social distancing measures, the Healing Hearts program will be offering an online dance class in conjunction with Greenwich House Music School. This class will be taught by several teachers from the dance company SHAPESHIFT, who specialize in hip hop, and storytelling through dance. To read more about SHAPESHIFT, scroll down.
Class will be held on Mondays, beginning June 1 through August 3, at 4:00-4:45 pm via Zoom. We know you have all been sheltering in place together for over two months, and we hope this special dance group can provide some fun and relief! The focus of the class will be hip-hop, but will also include additional dance styles, plus storytelling through dance. Class will end on with a final sharing for the students on Monday August 3, 2020.
The class is completely free for clients of the Children’s Safety Project. To sign up, please email Cecilia Land at firstname.lastname@example.org. Class is limited to 15 students, so sign up now!
