Ballet Classes for Kids
Ages 3.5–13.5 | Supportive, judgment-free, and joyful learning
At Greenwich House Music School, ballet is more than just dance—it’s a joyful way for children to move, grow, and express themselves. Our ballet classes for kids in the heart of Greenwich Village are welcoming, non-competitive, and designed to support every child’s development—socially, emotionally, and physically.
Our supportive, non-competitive classes help children develop physical coordination, emotional expression, and social skills through the art of dance right here in the heart of Greenwich Village. In a warm and encouraging environment, students build balance, strength, focus, and self-confidence while exploring rhythm and classical technique. From playful Pre-Ballet classes for toddlers to structured barre work in Ballet III and beyond, every level nurtures creativity and discipline at an age-appropriate pace.
Our dedicated instructors—professional dancers and educators—create a space where students feel safe to try, explore, and shine, whether they’re new to dance or deepening their practice. All students perform in our annual recital, giving them a chance to share their progress and celebrate with their peers and families.
