Prior to joining Greenwich House in 2018, Celeste Kaufman was the Marketing Associate for a gallery in Chelsea, helped launch a community arts space and managed its programming, worked for Planned Parenthood as as sex health educator, managed marketing and publicity for a performance arts space, and did freelance communications work for arts organizations and nonprofits. Her volunteer work has included helping run arts programming at a woman’s shelter, being on the leadership committee for a reproductive rights political advocacy group, and fundraising for a land preservation campaign with the Nature Conservancy in her hometown of New Paltz, NY.
Celeste is also a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Elle, Teen Vogue, Self, Bust Magazine, The Outline, Lit Hub, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Dance Magazine, Time Out NY and elsewhere. She has a BFA in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College.
