Hannah Westerman

Pronouns: they/them

A New York native, Hannah continues to live and work in Harlem. They received a BA in Psychology and BFA in Studio Art from Hunter College.

Hannah is fascinated by objects, especially discarded materials they observe on the streets of New York, and how they function as records of time and touch. Their work explores notions of care, value, attention, and space and is an act of queer world building. Through a practice of transmutation, Hannah proves that anything can become something else, and that the mind can be trained towards an awareness of its perceptual limits.
