Day is based in Santa Fe, NM and has an MFA in painting from the University of Arizona, a BFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and a BA in environmental studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Day has participated in residencies at Armory Art Center (West Palm Beach, FL; 2016-17) and Kimmel Harding Nelson Arts Center (Nebraska City, NE; 2016), among others. Recent exhibitions include solo and group shows at: Mesa Arts Center Museum (Phoenix, AZ; 2020), Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (New Orleans, LA; 2018) and the Phoenix Art Museum (AZ; 2018).
Day will take the two-dimensional world of her current artwork into three dimensions by starting a series of sculptural urns during her spring residency at the Pottery.
