Mary Springer

Mary Springer joined Greenwich House in June 2022 as Director of the Our Lady of Pompeii Older Adult Center, one of five that comprise their Older Adult Network.

Ms. Springer has more than 20 years experience with organizations that primarily serve the aging population throughout New York City. The majority of her career has been spent working within the Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) model (under the auspices of the NYC Department for the Aging) serving in various capacities including administrative roles along with direct client care.

Previously she has worked for agencies such as Selfhelp Community Services, Jewish Association Services for the Aged (JASA), and VISIONS/Services for the Blind. Ms. Springer’s professional experience also includes working in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, program management, supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration and has served on several Boards that serve older adults. She has served as a mental health counselor as well.

Ms. Springer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Certification in Aging and Mental Health from Hunter College/Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging. She has completed Level 1 of End-of-Life Doula training and is a Certified Reiki Master. Ms. Springer is a strong advocate for the aging population as well as for those who work in this field to ensure that her clients, and those who serve them, receive the support, respect and dignity they so well deserve.
