Sabri Ben-Achour

Pronouns: he/him

Sabri Ben-Achour has been making ceramics since 1988, both functional and sculptural. He apprenticed with Jill Hinckley in Washington, D.C. The basis of his sculptural work is the belief that humans are primed to find beauty in the disorderly order of nature, and the effort to evoke that aspect of nature by harnessing the natural properties of ceramic materials. His functional work is influenced by Japanese aesthetics and principles of wabi sabi.
