Tamika James

Tamika James is the Program Director at Independence Plaza Senior Center, joining Greenwich House in 2018. She previously served as a Program Director with Community Access at the Stanton Street Transitional Housing program, licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health, overseeing the provision of housing services to 24 psychiatrically disabled adults with co-occuring disorders, ensuring the needs of each client was addressed utilizing a harm reduction model.
Tamika attended college at SUNY Empire State and Fordham University. She lives in Brooklyn and enjoys quality time with her family and cat, reading, walking through Prospect Park whenever the opportunity presents and learning new skills.
