Be a Part of Taste

There are many ways to be a part of the fun at Taste of Greenwich House! Find information about how to participate as a restaurant, enter the cocktail competition, donate to the silent auction, and sponsor the event below.

Restaurants

Restaurants at Taste have access to an on-site audience of 500-600 people and will be promoted on our website, on our print invitation and in the event program – reaching thousands more. To participate, restaurants should staff their tables to serve a tasting of one (or more) dishes of your choice for at least 600 servings. Open flames are not permitted at the venue, only sternos. Restaurants are provided with 2 six-foot tables, linens, signage for your restaurant and dish description, access to water and ice, utensils, dinnerware and napkins. Restaurants can decorate their stations and distribute promotional materials at your table.

The deadline for having your logo featured in the print invitation is January 10th, but restaurants can sign on to participate through February 20th. Please contact Diane Perrin to sign up or for more information.

Arrival time the day-of is between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. and departure time is no earlier than 9:00 p.m.

Cocktail Competition

Previously the highlight of the After-Party, this year’s competition will be accessible by all during the main Taste of Greenwich House event in the lower level of Union Park East. A limited number of Mixologists will have the opportunity to represent their restaurant or bar to 500-600 guests, showcasing their skills to create a custom cocktail “taste” with our spirits sponsor, Tito’s Handmade Vodka.  Ticketed guests will vote on their favorite cocktail of the evening and the winners will receive cash prizes.

Mixologists will be provided with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, ice, 4 oz. sampling cups, signage, table and tablecloth. Mixologists are only responsible for bringing the accompanying ingredients. Mixologists and the venues they represent will be recognized on the Greenwich House website and in the event program. You are welcome to bring decorations and promotional material.

Auction

Businesses can donate goods, services and/or gift certificates to Taste’s silent auction. All auction donors will be recognized in the event program. Find the Auction Donation Form here.

Taste would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors. As a sponsor, you are helping us provide vital services while positioning your business as a philanthropic leader who cares about the local community. While there are standard sponsor opportunities, we are happy to customize your sponsorship to best fit your needs. Sponsors are recognized throughout the event as well as on the website and promotional materials in the months leading up to Taste.
